ALL-STAR TEAMS

Description:

All-Star Teams are community-driven soccer teams formed by parent volunteers who wish to compete in the United Recreational Soccer League URSL, serving Washington and Frederick counties in Maryland. These Boys, Girls or Co-Ed teams are supported by Unique Soccer Academy admin and technical staff and receive access to practice plans, facilities, and essential equipment to ensure a smooth and enjoyable coaching experience.

To form a team, parent volunteer coaches must recruit the minimum number of players to participate and then contact the Unique Soccer Academy to request the opening of registration for their chosen All-Star Team. All players will register through the Unique Soccer Academy registration system via a unique link provided for each team. An excellent opportunity for volunteer coaches to form school-based teams, fostering player development and building team cohesion during the off-season.

Unique Soccer Academy supplies team jerseys, team-snap app for communication, and all administration support with the league. Players are required to purchase black shorts, black socks, shin guards, and cleats independently. By joining a All-Star Team, players and families have an opportunity to foster friendships, build soccer skills, and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment.

Formats and Age Groups!

The league divisions are structured as follows:

Third and Fourth Grade: Teams play 7v7, focusing on skill development and teamwork in a smaller, more manageable format. Minimum Roster Size 10 players
Fifth and Sixth Grade: Matches are played 9v9, offering players more space and opportunities to develop tactical awareness and advanced techniques. Minimum Roster Size 12 players
Seventh and Eighth Grade: These teams play 11v11, providing a more competitive environment where players can refine their skills in a full-field format. Minimum Roster Size 16 players
JV and Varsity Teams: For high school-aged players, matches can be played either 7v7 or 11v11, depending on team composition and competition level, ensuring a flexible and competitive atmosphere for all players. Minimum Roster Size 7v7 = 12 players or 11v11 = 16players.
